Q: How do we get started?

A: The first step is to contact Tailor Made Learning to take the diagnostic assessment. Upon evaluation of the diagnostic assessment, an Academic Consultant will conduct the initial consultation to review the assessment, learning plan, set up tutoring, and tutoring will commence.

Q: How soon can we get started tutoring?

A:  Once the assessment, learning plan, and consultation is complete, tutoring can begin. The on boarding process can take as little as 7-14 days.

Q: I have tests from other professionals. Are those used in lieu of the diagnostic assessment?

A: Often, students will come with a test battery from other professionals. This information is very valuable and will be used for teaching decisions. However, quantitative data rarely gives information regarding where remedial instruction should begin. Rather, it gives information regarding how far behind a child is in quantitative terms, such as grade equivalencies or percentiles.

Q: Is mobile or online tutoring best for my child?

A:  Mobile tutoring can take place either in the student’s home or a public location. In-home tutoring allows the student to receive instruction in the comfort of his or her home. Our online platform offers audio/video, whiteboard technology chats and document-uploading capabilities.
